Why Melorich over other Breeders
(PLEASE READ)
Australian Multigen Labradoodles were developed, over 30 years ago, to be hypoallergenic service dogs.
Properly bred and infused Australian Multigenerational Labradoodles from the Tegan and Rutland lines are completely non-shedding unlike a labradoodle (hybrid) which is a cross between a Lab and poodle. While the early generation hybrids are wonderful dogs, you may not get the same coat quality, uniformity of look, and temperament. Our dogs have been bred over many generations to develop each of their outstanding traits. Our lines have no cocker spaniel (used to downsize the breed along with toy and mini poodles) Cocker Spaniels do not always do well in homes with children and we do not like to see the blood lines over "poodled", thus we breed mediums and small standards, Multigens to Multigens. If you wanted a Multigen bred to a poodle then you might as well buy a poodle for a lot less money!
***Even when the other types of Labradoodles are bred on for generations, the result is not an Australian Labradoodle, because the attributes of the infused breeds are not included in their ancestry.
Today, the Australian Multigenerational Labradoodles are wonderful, intelligent dogs with lush coats that are non-shedding and more allergy friendly than other types of dogs.
